9 Product Design & User Experience services

Design is the fastest, lowest-risk place to find out an idea needs to change. We research users, prototype quickly and test before anything is built, then hand engineering a design system they can build from without guesswork.

Research methods

Which research method answers your question?

Good design starts with the right question. This is how we match research methods to what you need to know, and we keep the research proportionate to the decision.

Your question Method What you get Typical effort
Will people want this? User interviews and concept tests Validated problem, priorities and must-have features 1–2 weeks
Can people use it? Moderated usability tests on a prototype Ranked usability issues with clips and fixes 1–2 weeks
Where do users drop off? Funnel analytics and session recordings Drop-off points and likely causes Days
How should content be organised? Card sorting and tree testing Navigation and information architecture 1 week
Which version works better? A/B or preference testing Evidence for one design over another 1–3 weeks
Can everyone use it? WCAG audit with screen-reader testing Accessibility issues ranked by severity 1–2 weeks

How we deliver

How we deliver Product Design & User Experience

Five steps, adapted to this kind of work, with working software or a tested prototype shown at every stage.

  1. 01

    Understand

Stakeholder goals, user research and existing analytics.

  2. 02

    Define

Journeys, information architecture and success measures.

  3. 03

    Prototype

Clickable prototypes for the riskiest flows first.

  4. 04

    Test

Usability tests with real users; iterate before build.

  5. 05

    Hand off & support

Design system, specs and design QA during development.

Straight answers

When this is the right call, and when it is not

We would rather recommend less than sell you more. Here is how we judge it.

A good fit when

New products that need validating, existing products with drop-off or support complaints, and teams that want one consistent design language across web and mobile.

  • Clickable prototypes tested with real users
  • Design systems shared between Figma and code
  • Interfaces that meet WCAG accessibility guidelines
  • A redesign will not fix a positioning problem

If people do not understand what you offer, new visuals alone will not convert them. We look at messaging and analytics first.

  • Research should match the decision

A small change does not need a month of research. We scale the method to what is at stake.

  • A design system is not always the first step

For a single early-stage product, a lightweight component kit is enough. Full design systems pay off across multiple products and teams.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Product Design & User Experience

What UI/UX design services does O Clock Software offer?

O Clock Software offers 9 design services: end-to-end UI/UX design, web UI/UX design, mobile UI/UX design, digital product design, UX research, design systems, prototyping, accessibility design and product experience design for live products.

What is the difference between UI and UX design?

UX design decides how a product works: what users need, the steps they take and how information is organised. UI design decides how it looks and feels: layouts, typography, colour and interactive components. Good products need both, designed together.

Do you do user research or only visual design?

Both. We run interviews, usability tests, analytics reviews and card sorting, scaled to the decision at hand, and use the findings to shape the design rather than decorating a fixed brief.

Do you design for accessibility?

Yes. We design to WCAG 2.2 AA: colour contrast, keyboard and screen-reader support, readable type, clear focus states and accessible forms. Accessibility is built into the design system rather than checked at the end.

What is a design system and do we need one?

A design system is a shared library of components, styles and rules used by both designers and developers. It keeps products consistent and speeds up delivery; it pays off most when several products or teams share one brand.

Can you redesign an existing product without disrupting users?

Yes. We find the highest-friction journeys from analytics and research, redesign them first, test with existing users and release changes gradually, often behind feature flags, so people are not hit with a sudden overhaul.

Do your designers stay involved during development?

Yes. Designers work in the same sprints as engineers, answer questions as they arise and review builds against the design before release, which avoids the gap between what was designed and what ships.

Which tools do you use?

We design and prototype in Figma, test with tools such as Maze and Microsoft Clarity, check accessibility with axe, WAVE and screen readers, and hand off through Storybook and design tokens.
