What is included in website maintenance?

Website maintenance includes software and plugin updates, security patching, daily backups, uptime and security monitoring, bug fixes, small content changes and a monthly health report. Hosting management can be included as well.

How often should a website be updated?

Security patches should be applied as soon as practical, usually within days, and routine updates weekly or monthly after testing on a staging copy. Leaving updates for months is a common cause of hacked sites.

What happens if our website goes down?

Monitoring alerts us within minutes, we investigate and restore service within the agreed response time, and we report the cause and the steps taken to prevent it happening again.

Can you maintain a website you did not build?

Yes. We start with an onboarding audit of hosting, code, plugins, backups and access, fix urgent issues and then move the site onto our regular maintenance routine.

Do you provide hosting?

Yes. We set up and manage hosting on platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or managed WordPress hosting, sized for your traffic, with backups and monitoring included.

What is the difference between website maintenance and software maintenance?

Website maintenance keeps a website and its hosting secure, updated and online. Software maintenance covers larger applications and products, including bug fixes, upgrades and feature changes across their whole codebase.
