What we build

AI for Existing Products: what we build

AI features added to software you already run, without a full rewrite. Here are the six kinds of add AI to an existing product work we are asked for most often.

Feature menu

AI features to add, and what each changes in your product

Most products start with one feature from this menu: the one that removes the most user effort with the smallest change to the existing code.

Feature What users get Change to your product Data it needs
Smart search Relevant results from everyday-language queries New search service; swap the search box Your existing records
Summaries Key points of long records and threads One button or panel per screen The record text
In-app assistant Answers about features and the user's own data Chat panel plus read-only API access Help content and user permissions
Auto-tagging Records categorised as they are saved Background job and one new field Examples of correctly tagged records
Recommendations Suggested next item or action Recommendation API and a UI slot Usage or history data
Anomaly alerts Warnings when data looks unusual Scheduled job and notifications History of normal patterns

Straight answers

Is AI for Existing Products right for you?

We would rather recommend less than sell you more. Here is how we judge it.

A good fit when

  • Your product is live with real users
  • Users have a clear pain AI could reduce
  • You can give access to code or APIs
  • You can release changes incrementally
  • The product itself needs rebuilding

If the core is unstable, adding AI adds risk. Stabilise or modernise first.

  • AI is wanted only for marketing

A feature users do not need will not be used. We start from user problems.

  • There is no access to data or code

We need APIs or code access to integrate safely.

FAQ

AI for Existing Products FAQ

Can AI be added to an existing app without rebuilding it?

Yes. Most AI features can be built as separate services that your app calls through an API, so the core product changes only where the new feature appears in the interface.

Which AI features should we add first?

Start with the feature that removes the most user effort with the least change to your product, often smart search, summaries or auto-tagging. We rank candidate features by user value, data availability and integration effort.

Will adding AI slow down our application?

Not if it is designed carefully. AI calls run in the background where possible, results are cached, and every feature has time limits with graceful fallbacks if the AI service is slow.

Can you add AI to a mobile app?

Yes. AI features can run through a backend service the app calls, or on the device itself for tasks such as image recognition or offline text processing, depending on privacy and speed needs.

What if our product is built on an older technology stack?

AI services are reached through standard APIs, so they work with older stacks such as PHP, .NET Framework or Java monoliths. Where the product has no API layer, we add a thin one first.

How do you roll out AI features safely?

We release behind feature flags to a small group of users, monitor usage, feedback and errors, and expand only when the feature proves useful. Any feature can be switched off instantly.
